The Shamator Town Public Forum (STPF) has strongly condemned the tragic and senseless murder of Yanrukiu Yimkhiung of Longtsunger Village, who was killed on December 5 in Shamator town.
In a condemnation note, STPF said the brutal act has shocked and deeply saddened the entire community, stating that such violence had no place in a civilized and peaceful society.
The forum expressed heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved family and prayed that God would grant them comfort and strength during this period of immense grief. It also prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul.
STPF further urged the law-enforcing agencies to initiate a thorough and urgent investigation into the incident, and to ensure that those responsible are identified and awarded befitting punishment without delay.
