Nagaland students visit ISRO in Bengaluru

The third batch of students from Nagaland departed for an exposure visit to the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), Bengaluru on July 23.
The 12 students from Kohima and Tseminyu districts were flagged off by Shashank Pratap Singh, principal director, School Education, in the presence of director Razouseyi Vese, additional director Deenabandhu Panda, and other officials.
According to Assistant Programme Officer Zhokupa Hoshi, the visit was part of the North East Programme for Awareness, Reach & Knowledge on Space (NE-SPARKS), a joint initiative of the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER) and Government of Nagaland.
The students, accompanied by teacher guide Akenyu Semp, represent Northfield School Kohima, Mezhur Higher Secondary School Kohima, Rüzhükhrie GHSS Kohima, GHSS Tseminyu, GHS Kandinu, Baptist HSS Tseminyu, and Don Bosco School Tseminyu. The team is scheduled to return on July 26.
