Nagaland: SVSU discusses road project with BRO

Seyochung Village Students’ Union (SVSU) on September 30 held meeting with the officials of Border Roads Organisation (BRO) on the upcoming road construction project under Seyochung Village.

In a press release SVSU president, Pilongla Sangtam and general secretary Thingzila Y Sangtam, said that at the meeting, Border Roads Organisation (BRO) informed them that the road construction was expected to begin within a week or two, depending on weather conditions. It was informed that project has been delayed due to unfavourable weather.

However, expressing concern about the area’s road conditions, they emphasized that the quality of work should not be compromised and highlighted the importance of a proper drainage system for the road’s longevity.

The union assured the BRO of their support in any way possible to ensure smooth development. SVSU therefore warned that any challenges or disturbances faced during construction would be met with the union’s full support.
