Nagaland: SVSU seeks support for village library upgradation

Dimapur

Seyochung Village Students’ Union (SVSU), Kiphire, has appealed to the Director General of Police, Nagaland, for assistance under the Social Assistance Programme to upgrade the existing village library at Seyochung.
In a representation, SVSU president Longtili C. Sangtam and general secretary Tsise stated that the library has been serving as a vital learning space for students and youth of the village but requires improvement and modernization due to limited resources. SVSU proposed strengthening the facility by adding new books and introducing digital learning materials such as computers, educational software, and e-learning resources.
According to the union, the introduction of digital resources would enable students to access updated knowledge, online educational content, and competitive exam preparation materials unavailable in the remote area. It maintained that an improved library would serve as a centre for learning, discipline, and positive engagement, guiding young people towards constructive and responsible paths.
