A coordination meeting of the Department of Social Welfare was convened at Ungma Senso Telongjem Hall, Mokokchung, chaired by Mangliyangba, District Welfare Officer on February 7.
The meeting featured introduction of officials, presentation of departmental reports, and an address by Wangpang Konyak, advisor, Social Welfare. Officials from the Directorate also attended the programme. In his speech, Wangpang Konyak underscored the importance of strengthening coordination among district-level functionaries for effective implementation of welfare schemes.
The session turned interactive, with discussions on social welfare initiatives and upliftment programmes in Mokokchung district. The meeting was attended by the District Welfare Officer and staff, District Programme Officer, six Child Development Project Officers, supervisors from CDPO, Poshan coordinators, Sakhi OSC, DHEW, PMMVY, DCPU PO NIC, Child Helpline Coordinator and Supervisor, Mokokchung Anganwadi workers, and the Deputy Director of Social Welfare.
The coordination meet aimed at fostering better synergy among stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of welfare services to the people.
