Nagaland team participates in RPL-6 on Aadi Karmayogi Abhiyan in Guwahati

DIMAPUR

A seven-day Regional Process Lab (RPL-6) for the Aadi Karmayogi Abhiyan was held in Guwahati from August 11 to 17, bringing together officials from Sikkim, Assam, Mizoram, and Nagaland. The event aimed to strengthen grassroots governance and development in tribal communities through capacity building and collaborative learning.
The programme was inaugurated by Minister of Tribal Affairs, Government of Assam, Dr. Ranoj Pegu, in the presence of L. Sweety Changsen, Department of Tribal Affairs (Plain), Government of Assam; Secretary Tribal Affairs Department (Hills)Binita Pegu; and Joint Secretary, Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, Debolina Thakur.
Participants included representatives from various line departments such as Tribal Affairs, Social Welfare, Health & Family Welfare, Rural Development, Education, Public Health Engineering (PHE) and Forest. The Lab was designed to provide immersive training for State Master Trainers (SMTs), equipping them with the skills and knowledge required to lead transformative initiatives in tribal regions.
The sessions featured interactive workshops, group discussions, activities and presentations, with participants sharing best practices and experiences from their respective states. The initiative is part of the Aadi Karmayogi Abhiyan, a flagship movement of the Ministry of Tribal Affairs in collaboration with the Bharat Rural Livelihoods Foundation (BRLF), aiming to build a cadre of two million trained grassroots change leaders across over one lakh tribal villages in India.
Nine State Master Trainers from Nagaland participated in the Lab and are now tasked with training District Master Trainers (DMTs) and Block Master Trainers (BMTs) to ensure effective implementation of the Abhiyan. This effort aligns with the broader vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.
The Lab concluded with a felicitation ceremony led by Secretary, Tribal Affairs Department (Hills), Government of Assam, Binita Pegu. The outcomes of the Lab are expected to enhance service delivery and governance for tribal communities across the Northeast region.
