Nagaland Throttle Thrust VII Motorsport concludes at Longmisa Village

DIMAPUR, NOV 6 (NPN)

The Spearhead Motorsport Initiative (SMI), Mokokchung, hosted the 7th edition of Throttle Thrust—Nagaland’s premier motorsport event at Longmisa Village, Mokokchung, on November 4 and 5. The two-day event drew motorsport enthusiasts and top drivers from across the Northeast region, delivering high-octane performances and celebrating sportsmanship.
The event featured competitive races in three categories: Open Category, Below 1300cc Category, and SUV Category. Drivers demonstrated exceptional skill and speed across both stages, with Thzeieu Kire (KAMC) emerging as the fastest driver in Stage I and Ruokuobeituo (NAC) clinching the fastest time in Stage II. In the Open Category, Thzeieu Kire (KAMC) secured first place, followed by Ruokuobeituo (NAC), Ronan Bazeley (Team Meghalaya), Among Jamir (KAMC), and Seyievilie (KAMC). The Below 1300cc Category saw Thzeieu Kire (KAMC) again take the top spot, with Ruokuobeituo (NAC) and Among Jamir (PVMC) finishing second and third respectively. In the SUV Category, Natash Yuvraj (TMSC) claimed first place, followed by Ruchir C Marak and Ashley Kharpuri, both from Team Meghalaya.
A key highlight of Throttle Thrust VII was the introduction of the Rally Roadbook—a detailed navigation guide designed for both race stages. The Roadbook enabled drivers to interpret route information through pace notes, with the option to engage navigators for enhanced precision.
The prize distribution ceremony was held on the second day, with president of P. Vizheto Motorsport Club, Atoka Awomi, attending as special guest. In his address, Awomi congratulated Team Spearhead for organizing a spectacular event and emphasized the need for unity among motorsport clubs in Northeast India to advocate for sponsorship and support for regional drivers. Convenor of TTVII, Sentiyanger Longkumer, extended heartfelt thanks to all participants, sponsors, Longmisa Village Council, Longmisa Students’ Union, special guests, volunteers and local supporters for their contributions to the event’s success. Throttle Thrust VII reaffirmed the growing popularity of motorsport in Nagaland, highlighting not only competitive excellence but also community engagement and regional pride.
