KOHIMA, AUG 6: Nagaland will host its first-ever Technology, Gaming and Innovation Expo (TXG) 2026 on August 28 and 29 at the NBCC Convention Hall, Kohima. Organised by the Nagaland E-Sports Society (NES) in collaboration with the Government of Nagaland, the two-day event aims to bring together technology, esports, game development, innovation, education and digital careers under one roof.
Held under the theme, “Where Technology, Gaming and Culture Converge,” TXG 2026 is envisioned as an annual platform to position Nagaland as an emerging hub for gaming, innovation and the digital economy in the Northeast.
According to the organisers, the expo will go beyond competitive gaming by connecting students, developers, startups, content creators and industry professionals through exhibitions, career opportunities, networking and technology showcases. The event is expected to provide young people in the state with greater access to mentorship, skill development and emerging digital career pathways.
A major attraction of the expo will be its competitive gaming events, featuring three tournament categories with prize pools of Rs 1 lakh each. These include the Inter-College Championship and the Open MOBA 5v5 tournament, both played on Mobile Legends, along with a series of mini tournaments in titles such as EA Sports FC 26, Clash Royale, Tekken 8, Dirt Rally 2.0, Street Fighter 6 and Ludo King. The matches will be live-streamed with professional shoutcasters and broadcast-quality production. The event will also feature a Game Development Showcase, providing local developers and students an opportunity to present projects, prototypes and technology innovations. Career discussions, expert panel sessions, workshops and interactive Q&A sessions will offer insights into opportunities in the gaming and technology sectors.
Other highlights include interactive gaming zones, product demonstrations, technology exhibitions, an innovation hub, networking spaces and a cosplay competition featuring costume displays, stage performances and photo zones.

The expo is supported by various departments of the Government of Nagaland and institutional partners, including the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), NIELIT, YouthNet, Nagaland Post, NE8 and Nagaland Tourism.
