Nagaland has secured the top position in the Aadhaar Mandatory Biometric Updates for children. The award was presented at the Aadhaar Samvaad held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, on April 8, 2025.
According to DPRO Kohima, Commissioner of Nagaland, who also served as the Registrar for Aadhaar in the state, along with the Deputy Commissioners, has been spearheading intensive enrolment drives for children. The concerted efforts have resulted in a significant increase in the number of MBUs.
Registrar for Aadhaar, Nagaland, KS Anden Konyak expressed appreciation to all the Deputy Commissioners for their relentless efforts, which brought recognition to the state. He said the achievement was made possible due to their continuous and dedicated work across the districts.
