Nagaland brought laurels to the state by securing the first position in the Folk Dance Competition at the northeast National Service Scheme (NSS) Festival, held at Arunodaya University in Arunachal Pradesh from June 24 to 28.
The five-day festival witnessed enthusiastic participation from NSS volunteers representing all the northeastern states and served as a platform to promote unity, leadership, cultural exchange, and the spirit of community service.
Nagaland was represented by a contingent of 32 NSS volunteers and Programme Officer Sentikala from MGM College, Dimapur.
The team impressed the judges and audience with a vibrant presentation showcasing the state’s rich cultural heritage and traditions.
In addition to the top honour in folk dance, the Nagaland contingent actively participated in the Quiz Competition, PowerPoint Presentation, and Extempore Speech events, demonstrating their intellectual ability, communication skills, and overall excellence.
