Nagaland Tourism, Pluc.TV to digitally archive tribal heritage

DIMAPUR

As Nagaland gears up for the 26th edition of the Hornbill Festival, the Department of Tourism, Government of Nagaland, has entered into a partnership with People Like Us Create (Pluc.TV) Network Pvt. Ltd. to document and preserve the state’s tribal and cultural heritage. The MoU, signed on October 31, 2025, provides a framework for research-driven, technology-enabled archival work in line with the Ministry of Tourism’s focus on sustainable and community-led tourism.
The collaboration with Pluc.TV will integrate digital tools, field research and narrative methods to make cultural documentation accessible to wider audiences while keeping communities at the centre of decision-making.
Joint director of Tourism, Toka E. Tuccumi, said digital documentation was now a responsibility, ensuring that evolving cultures and stories are preserved with care and shared globally. Pluc.TV CEO Tamseel Hussain added that the initiative would help build archives shaped by local custodians and accessible to future generations.
Pluc.TV has also partnered with The Ultimate Travelling Camp (TUTC) to set up a storytelling lounge at the Hornbill Festival. The lounge will host cultural conversations, recordings and live sessions.
TUTC CEO Rajnish Rai said the collaboration would continue their decade-long engagement with Nagaland.
