Nagaland traffic advisory for ‘National Red Run 3.0’

DIMAPUR, OCT 28 (NPN)

In view of the “National Red Run 3.0” organized by Nagaland State AIDS Control Society (NSACS) in collaboration with Nagaland Olympic Association (NOA) and Nagaland Athletics Association (NAA) on October 30, from Agri Expo, 4th Mile, to C.T. Square, Chümoukedima, Dimapur Police has issued a traffic advisory for the safety and convenience of runners and road users.
According to the advisory issued by Commissioner of Police Dimapur, Aotula T. Imchen, the entire right-hand side (RHS) stretch from Agri Expo, 4th Mile, to 7th Mile Junction will remain closed to all vehicular traffic. This portion of NH-29 will be exclusively reserved for road race runners and event management. All feeder and approach roads connecting this section will also remain closed to motorised traffic during the event.
The left-hand side (LHS) of NH-29 (opposite lane) will function as a two-way route for vehicles plying towards both Chümoukedima and Dimapur. Overtaking along this stretch has been strictly prohibited.
A maximum speed limit of 30 km/h has been fixed for vehicles on this stretch, and stopping or parking of vehicles will not be permitted. Parking on both sides of the highway from Agri Expo Junction to 7th Mile Junction has also been prohibited. Further, entry and exit of heavy vehicles between 3rd Mile Junction and Patkai Junction will be restricted, except for school buses and emergency service vehicles.
The temporary restrictions will be effective from 4 a.m. to 7 a.m. on October 30. For traffic updates and assistance, the public may contact the Traffic Control, Chümoukedima, at 7085055039.
