A five-day training for senior officers of Nagaland Civil Service Officers (NCSO) commenced on September 17 at at Vision hall, Training Block Administrative Training Institute (ATI), Kohima.
According to DIPR report, the training program was jointly organized by the department of P&AR & ATI, Nagaland and conducted by St. Stephen’s Centre for Advanced Learning (SCAL), New Delhi.
Gracing the inaugural programme, chief secretary, Dr. J. Alam, emphasized on the need for capacity building of all officers and further encouraged them to learn from the subject experts and from each other. He also shared the requirement of a structure for rule based system for public administration.
The program was chaired by Additional Director, ATI, Bendanglila and welcome address by R. Ramakrishnan, Principal Secretary P&AR and Principal Secretary to Chief Minister.
The topics to be covered during the five days by the experts from SCAL will include; Policy formulation & analysis, Leadership Development, Problem solving, Performance & Sustainability etc. 21 Nagaland Civil Service officers from Joint Secretary to Secretary level officers are attending the training.
