Nagaland: Unidentified body found in Dimapur

DIMAPUR

An unidentified body of a male (non-Naga) was retrieved on December 22 below the flyover bridge near Traffic Control, Dimapur.
According to PRO of Dimapur police, on receiving information of the body, East Police personnel rushed to the spot, and found the body aged around 30–35 years, lying in a supine position. Inquest was conducted in the presence of witnesses, and preliminary examination suggested the deceased was a homeless beggar.
The cause of death could not be ascertained but is suspected to be due to illness. After completion of legal formalities, the body was shifted to the District Hospital Dimapur morgue for post-mortem examination and identification.
