Nagaland University organised a programme on the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam at its campus on April 13, with active participation from faculty members, staff and students.
Vice Chancellor, Prof. Jagadish Kumar Patnaik, and Registrar, Dr. Abemo, conveyed greetings and lauded the organisers for the successful conduct of the event.
Themed “Campus to Parliament: Inspiring the Next Generation of Women Leaders,” the programme underscored the importance of empowering women and encouraging their participation in leadership and decision-making roles.
A resolution was adopted reaffirming the collective responsibility to build an inclusive and progressive society with equal participation of women. A pledge was also administered, with participants committing to uphold equality, dignity and empowerment, and to support greater representation of women in leadership.
The event was led by Prof. Kilangla Jamir, Dean, School of Science, and Prof. Wangshimenla, Dean of Student Welfare. Around 150–200 participants attended the programme.
