Nagaland University marked a historic milestone with the successful inauguration of its first-ever Inter-Campus Meet at I. Ihoshe Kinimi Hall, Lumami, under the theme “Connect, Create and Celebrate.” The event, hosted by the Nagaland University Students’ Union, Lumami (NUSU-L), aims to foster unity, collaboration and cultural exchange among the University’s campuses.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Jagadish K. Patnaik delivered the keynote address, commending NUSU-L for its initiative and lauding the enthusiasm of participants. He emphasized the significance of such platforms in promoting academic collaboration, cultural understanding and institutional harmony across the University.
In his welcome address, president of NUSU-L, Toito V. Zhimomi, expressed gratitude to the University administration and participating campuses for their support. He highlighted the vision of the Inter-Campus Meet as a space to strengthen student relationships, encourage creativity and celebrate the collective spirit of Nagaland University.
The inaugural session began with the unfurling of the flag, symbolizing the official commencement of the event. Chaired by Sentikala, the session included an invocation led by prayer secretary of SPGKK, Aghali H. Shohe, seeking blessings for the success of the meet. A special presentation titled “Holy Forever” added a reflective and unifying note to the ceremony.
Concluding on an optimistic spirit, the session set the tone for the days ahead, which will feature a diverse range of academic, cultural and sports activities.
