Nagaland University inspection team visits Pfutsero Government College

Nagaland University inspection team consisting of Prof. Pum Khan Pau and Prof. Suresh Kurapati visited Pfutsero Government College (PGC), April 11. The objective of the visit was to assess the college’s readiness for up-gradation to offer Four-Year Undergraduate Program (FYUGP) from the upcoming academic year 2026-27 July-December session, in line with the New Education Policy, 2020.
A press release by PGC informed that the inspection team held interactive sessions with the Principal, faculty members, and students of the college along with ground inspection of the new college campus, infrastructural facilities, faculty strength, and college’s best practices.
PGC, located at Phek district, is an Arts College under Directorate of Higher Education, Government of Nagaland with affiliation to Nagaland University, currently offering Honors in seven subjects including Economics, Education, English, History, Political Science, Sociology, and Tenyidie with an enrolment of 353 students for the academic year 2025-26.
The college is in the process of offering science honors with a science building currently under construction in the new campus.
