A three-member IQAC External Peer Team from Nagaland University visited Kohima Science College, Jotsoma (KSCJ) on December 5, as part of its annual academic exercise to review and monitor the institution’s autonomous status.
The team was led by Prof. Santosh Kumar Singh, Dean of the School of Sciences as chairperson, with Prof. Joginder Singh Panwar, director IQAC (NU), and head, department of Physics, Prof. Y. Sundarayya.
The team held a meeting with the principal, vice-principal, heads of departments, and members of the IQAC, during which they outlined the objectives and scope of their visit. IQAC Coordinator, Kohima Science College, Dr. Lilongchem Thyug, delivered a comprehensive presentation highlighting the college’s profile and its academic and institutional achievements in recent years.
During the visit, the Peer Team inspected all 13 academic departments and the central library, and interacted with faculty, students, and research scholars. They commended the collective efforts of stakeholders and encouraged continued pursuit of the institution’s goals.
The visit concluded with an exit meeting anchored by Dr. Lilongchem Thyug, where the team shared observations and feedback. The programme ended with a vote of thanks by Dr. Samadangla Ao, member, IQAC.
