The side displayed tactical maturity, sharp attacking play, and consistent control throughout the contest, underlining their growing reputation as one of the most disciplined units of the tournament.
The match began in dramatic fashion, within the opening minute, Uttar Pradesh’s high pressing forced Tripura into a defensive error, resulting in an own goal by defender Uniki. Barely a minute later, Mansi—one of UP’s standout performers—extended the lead with a clinical finish, putting her team 2-0 ahead before Tripura could settle into the game.
Tripura attempted to regroup but struggled to create meaningful chances against Uttar Pradesh’s organized defense and relentless midfield control.
With 57 percent ball possession, UP dictated the tempo and maintained constant pressure in the attacking third. Tripura managed only two shots on target and one-off target, failing to trouble the opposition goalkeeper.
The second half saw Uttar Pradesh continue their dominance. Their persistence paid off in the 60th minute when Shbana calmly slotted home the third goal, sealing the result and capping off a comprehensive performance. UP’s defensive structure and pressing ensured Tripura had no opportunity to claw back into the match.
