Nagaland West Zone lift Senior Women’s Inter Zonal T20 Trophy

West Zone lifted the Senior Women’s Inter Zonal T20 Trophy 2025 with a 25-run win over North Zone in the final played at the Nagaland Cricket Stadium, Sovima on Thursday. A solid batting display backed by disciplined bowling secured the title for West Zone.
West Zone, put in to bat, posted 169/4 in 20 overs with crucial partnerships throughout the innings. Humairaa Kaazi top-scored with a superb 58 off 44 balls to earn the Player of the Match award. T. S. Hasabnis contributed a steady 43 off 35, while K. P. Navgire added late momentum with an explosive 34 off 18 balls.
For North Zone, Nazma was the standout bowler with figures of 2/34 from 4 overs. Chasing 170, North Zone managed 144/4 in 20 overs. Ayushi Soni held the innings together with an unbeaten 53 off 40 balls, but regular dot balls and tight fielding from West Zone restricted scoring opportunities. West Zone’s bowlers- Saima Thakor (1/25), Kesha (1/26) and A. A. Patil (1/27)—kept North Zone behind the required run rate throughout the innings.
Humairaa Kaazi (58 off 44) won the Player of the Match while other top performers included-
T.S. Hasabnis 43 (35) and K.P. Navgire 34 (18) of West Zone and Nazma 2/34 (4) of North Zone.
