The Western Chakhesang Hoho (WCH), led by its president Yetshulhi Ngatsi along with the executives, paid a courtesy call on PHED minister, Jacob Zhimomi on November 1 to discuss various issues pertaining to the welfare of the Chakhesang community in Western Area and the larger Naga society.
A press release by the press secretary of WCH, Lhikhro Kreo, stated that during the meeting, the WCH brought forth several pressing concerns affecting the Chakhesang community residing in Western Area, seeking the Minister’s guidance and support.
The release stated that the Minister listened attentively to the issues raised and offered valuable suggestions for the development and progress of the Chakhesang community and also apprised the team about the significant challenges facing the Naga society, while emphasising on the importance of maintaining peace and harmony, echoing the values of peaceful coexistence that have been the hallmark of the Naga forefathers.
The further stated that the meeting concluded on a positive note, with both sides expressing optimism about continued collaboration and progress.
The WCH also expressed gratitude to the minister for his time and considered approach in addressing the concerns raised.
