The All Nagaland Shaolin Kung-Fu Association (ANSKA) brought home seven gold, four silver and one bronze medal for the State of Nagaland in the recently concluded 9th National Kung Fu Championship 2025 held in Kurseong, Darjeeling, West Bengal, India from May 30 to June 1.
Medal tally from Team Nagaland are Mongngam Senon – gold medal, Manshah Nyiemlam -gold medal, Abdul Aziz – gold medal, Ayhunlo Jude Khing – gold medal, Namlang Zeliang – gold medal, Master Dr. Meyiesielie Albert Sorunuo – gold medal, Master Dr. David Keneingutuo Sorunuo – gold medal, Kechuni Kent – silver medal, Amin Ali – silver medal, Nyurhunlo Kent – silver medal, Prakash Sharma – silver medal, MD Faisal – bronze medal.
The association congratulated the participants and officials for the sacrifices the team made to bring a good name to the association as well as the State of Nagaland in the field of sports and encouraged every learner to remain fit not only physically but also in mental health. Deputy Grandmaster and chief general Dr. Ruokuo John Sorunuo said, “Challenges arise every time for any activity we are about to partake but be consistent with our best discipline and it shall manifest”.
