Nagaland YMC hosts “Euphonic Fest” 2nd Edition celebrating music, talent, and creativity

The Student Council of Yemhi Memorial College (YMC), with the support of the student advisor committee, organized the Euphonic Fest, 2nd Edition on October 31, at the college campus under the theme “Strings & Beats.”
The highlight of the celebration was the Inter-College Solo Singing Competition, which witnessed talented vocalists from various institutions showcasing their musical excellence. Shenkha Khimuangam from Immanuel College emerged as the winner, while Iloka from S.D. Jain College secured the second position.
The Judge panel featured proprietor, Candy Jam Music and Drummer of Purple Fusion, Neihalung Gonmei, singer, musician and composer, Kaduangai Gangmei and assistant professor, Department of Sociology YMC, Paunamheing Perang.
In his short speech, vice principal Toyeto Chishi extended warm greetings to all participating colleges. He emphasized that while winning or losing is part of every competition, the true essence lies in participation, expression, and the celebration of shared talent. He also thanked the judges and the organizing team for their dedication and encouraged everyone to enjoy the festivities.
Adding excitement to the event, special performances were presented by Amento Zhimomi from Immanuel College (Winner, Euphonic Fest – 1st Edition) and Aplo N. Achumi from YMC (Runner-Up, Euphonic Fest – 1st Edition), both of whom captivated the audience with their electrifying performances.
The event was hosted by head of department, political science Tokato K. Sumi. Ealier, the program began with an invocation by Kilivi, followed by a welcome note from the vice president, YMSC. Keyiziegumbe, ANCSU representative, Awoka A Awomi presented a token of appreciation to the judges.
The Program concluded with a words of gratitude by general secretary, YMSCC, Vikucho Z Achumi followed by a live performance by Sunep lemtur, a renowned Naga Singer-Songwriter.
