Reacting to differing opinions being expressed in both print and social media regarding the issue of non-State Civil Service (SCS) induction into IAS, the Yachem Officers’ Forum (YOE) has strongly condemned what it described as “outrageous and unethical vilification and character assassination” of its bona fide member Dr. Anungla Imdong Phom.
In a press release, Yachem Officers’ Forum (YOE) convener M.Takochungba expressed concern and hurt that their officer was being “targeted and shamed simply for being nominated and included in the panel list.”
The forum urged all responsible to exercise caution and refrain from personal attacks, which it termed as “uncalled for and unjustified.”
Yachem Officers’ Forum (YOE) said allowing such random and casual vilification to persist would only lead to escalation of tension and corrode the social fabric and lead to “undesirable outcomes which is inimical to our peaceful coexistence.”
The forum affirmed that rule of law must be upheld and the issue at hand be addressed under the established statutory guidelines.
Meanwhile, Yachem Officers’ Forum (YOE) has lauded the state government for selecting one of its most distinguished and outstanding officers in the panel list for induction into the IAS from non-SCS and for upholding the statutory provisions that govern the induction of officers into the Indian Administrative Service (IAS).
