Nagaland: YouthNet conducts Wall Pro Construction course

Dimapur

YouthNet, in partnership with Asian Paints Beautiful Homes Academy, organized a six-day Wall Pro Construction Painting Training programme aimed at enhancing the employability of young people in Nagaland.
Altogether 19 beneficiaries, including two women, took part in the training which combined both theoretical instruction and practical exposure to modern construction painting techniques in line with current industry standards.
The programme comprised two days of classroom sessions covering paint types, surface preparation, safety measures and product knowledge, followed by three days of hands-on practical training. Participants were trained in wall preparation, application techniques and the use of Wall Pro products. The final day was devoted to assessment, evaluating both theoretical understanding and practical skills.
According to YouthNet, the practical sessions enabled participants to gain real-time experience and confidence in handling professional painting assignments.
With the demand for skilled workers in the construction and painting sectors steadily increasing, such initiatives are seen as crucial in equipping Nagaland’s youth with market-driven skills. By strengthening technical competencies and promoting self-employment opportunities, YouthNet continues to address unemployment challenges in the state while fostering sustainable livelihood opportunities for young people.
