The Kohima Japukongtsür Telongjem (KJT) held a seminar at Changki Mentsü, PWD Junction, on the theme “Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress” on September 21 in Kohima, with Imtijungla Longchar, a teacher, author as speaker, who led two informative sessions focused on women’s empowerment.
In both sessions, Imtijungla spoke on the importance of women investing in themselves financially, mentally, socially, and personally. She emphasized the value of self-care, recognizing one’s skills, and not limiting one’s potential. Topics such as financial literacy, marriage, conflict resolution, etiquette, AI culture, money scams, and LGBTQ issues were also covered, with a focus on the need for women to stay informed in a rapidly changing world. A lively Q&A session followed the discussions.
A tea break was held in between sessions, during which a lucky dip hosted by Moamenla Aier saw 20 women walk away with attractive prizes. The event was compered by Dr. Imnasenla Imchen, invocation by T. Rongsenyangla Aier, Associate Pastor of Kohima Ao Baptist Church, welcome address by Ayula Longchar, President KJT, special performance by Molungnenla Longkumer and vote of thanks from Chubasenla, Convenor of the Seminar Committee. Imlikokla Jamir served as the event recorder.
