Two prominent personalities from Nagaland, Alobo Naga and Toinali Chophi, were honoured at the WhosNext Influencer Awards 2026, held at Taj Taal Kutir in Kolkata on Sunday, in a celebration of creators, entrepreneurs, and public personalities from Eastern and Northeast India. Alobo Naga took home the prestigious Face of NE Influence Award, beating out fellow nominees Taba Chake and Andrea Tariang, while Toinali Chophi was recognised with the NE Entrepreneur of the Year Award in a category that also featured Aimee Baruah and Lin Laishram. The awards were presented with support from Oriflame Sweden, along with partners including NDTV, Red FM, and Meghalaya Tourism, underscoring the growing corporate and media interest in amplifying Northeast Indian talent on a national platform.
