Newspapers Association of India (NAI) Northeast Zonal committee led by convener, Monojit Singha along with Nagaland state coordinator, Thungchamo Humtsoe, submitted a memorandum to Governor Nagaland, P.B. Acharaya at Rajbhavan, Kohima regarding demand for Journalists Protection Act in Nagaland on April 18.
A press note by NAI NE convener, Monojit Singha stated that demands of NAI included, among others, provision of housing and land facilities to homeless journalist on seniority basis, ensuring security on media houses and journalists in the state, increment of government advertisement rates for media houses etc.
