Name of Gaindinliu cannot be dropped: Art & Culture Deptt.

Art and culture department has expressed inability to drop the name of Rani Gaidinliu from the memorial hall in Kohima as the project was sanctioned in the name of Rani Gaidinliu to keep her memory alive.
Stating this in a letter to president APO, secretary art and culture government of Nagaland Chubasangla Anar offered a suggestion that change in nomenclature may be feasible without altogether dropping the name of Rani Gaidinliu.
In this regard, the secretary suggested that the institution could be named Rani Gaidinliu Museum of Naga customs and Artefacts or Rani Gaindinliu Culture & Communication Centre for Naga tribes etc.
Further the secretary also offered suggestion that space/provision for all Naga tribes could be made in the building to display traditional attires, artefacts including special room to display Rani Gaidinliu’s personal possession as well as artefacts and books related with the late Rani. The Secretary also informed that the building and institution will be looked after and maintained by the department of Art and Culture.
