A police personnel at 4 NAP Thizama was found dead in a pool of blood around 2:45-3 a.m. Saturday at ISPW complex near secretariat.
Police have identified the deceased as 48-year old constable Aperomong Ao, from Sungratsu Village under Mokokchung district. The deceased belonged to Charlie company of the 4th NAP.
PRO Kohima informed Nagaland Post that a case has been registered at North Police station and investigation was on.
PRO also said after completing the necessary formalities, a funeral was held at the 4 NAP camp and after which the body was handed over to the family members. The deceased is survived by his wife and three children.
