The district administration Niuland and District Hub for Empowerment of Women (Sankalp) organized Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyaan on March 27 at Government High School Aghunaqa, to raise awareness about the dangers of substance abuse and promote a drug-free lifestyle.
A presentation was delivered by accounts assistant Merryka Sumi and a painting competition on the theme ‘Say Yes to Life, No to Drugs’ encouraged students to express their views on the issue, with prizes distributed by EAC Niuland, Kelengunuo Solo.
The keynote address was delivered by EAC Aghunaqa, M. Khenpa, who delivered the keynote address, emphasizing the importance of collective effort in combating substance abuse and urging all to join the movement towards a Nasha Mukht Bharat.
The programme engaged students and community members, reinforcing the message of living a healthy, drug-free life.
The event was chaired by gender specialist, Tunato I Zhimo, an invocation by Vikali L. Chishi,and vote of thanks by gender specialist, Diketo S Jimomi.
