NASU 28th biennial conference concludes

The 28th biennial conference of Niuland Area Students’ Union (NASU) concluded on January 6 at S. Vihuto Village, Niuland.
Advisor of Urban Development and Municipal Affairs, Zhaleo Rio, who graced the closing ceremony as special guest, encouraged the students to pursue their studies with commitment, choose their interest and right job-oriented courses.

Zhaleo opined that government institutions or schools have the best qualified teachers and requested the student community to attend government schools for the better.
He however, lamented ghost employees or teachers in certain pockets and informed that the concerned department was in the process to initiate positive changes.

Zhaleo also revealed that unemployment was enormous in the state and called upon students to be aware of meritocracy which has been introduced to select and employ the most capable candidates in the state. He also stressed that leaders should organise necessary career guidance for students and guide them for higher education.

Further, Zhaleo advised the students to be dedicated, God fearing and work hard to achieve their goal through sweat or perspiration.
On the creation of Niuland district, Zhaleo said it was from imperative need and administrative convenience noting that “many developments are in the pipeline in the ‘Land of diversity’. He therefore requested the leaders to be inclusive, united and visionary.

He also advised the people to be broadminded and wise and urged “everyone to learn to coexist by accommodating one another and be assets to the Naga community”, including students. This was stated in a press release issued by Media Secretary NDPP 5 Ghaspani-II A/C.
