‘National GirlChild Day’ observed

Along with the rest of the country, Angeles Home Signal Angami, Dimapur celebrated National Girl Child Day on the theme, “A girl with dream can change the world” at its premises on January 24. Superior of Angeles Home, Sister Aruna spoke on empowering every girl to break barriers.


She said education could build the person and the nation in general. Sister Aruna also highlighted central government schemes for girls. Sisters and staff performed a skit on education and the children presented solo and dance. A total 17 children took part in the programme. The day was observe commemorating the inaugural anniversary of Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao (BBBP) scheme.
