National pledge against drug abuse

DIMAPUR: Deputy Commissioner Kohima, B. Henok Buchem, has directed all government offices, schools, colleges, and public and private institutions across Kohima district to organise the “National Pledge Against Drug Abuse” on August 18, 2026, as part of the observance of the 6th year of Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan. According to a circular issued, the programme is organised in pursuance of directives from the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, for nationwide observance of the campaign.
All concerned institutions have been instructed to administer the pledge on the designated day and submit an Action Taken Report in the prescribed format, along with photographs of the programme, to the DC’s Office or through WhatsApp to the District Welfare Officer, Kohima at 6909997635 on or before August 20, 2026.
DC has requested all institutions to ensure strict compliance with the directives and actively participate in the campaign to reinforce the message of a drug free society.
