National Red Run 3.0 to be held on Oct 30 at Agri Expo, Chümoukedima

CorrespondentKohima, Oct 23 (NPN)

The Nagaland State AIDS Control Society (NSACS), in collaboration with the Nagaland Olympic Association (NOA) and the Nagaland Athletics Association (NAA), is set to host the National Red Run 3.0 on October 30, at the Agri Expo site in Chümoukedima.
The announcement was made by NSACS Director Dr. Ahu Sekhose during a curtain-raiser press conference held in Kohima on October 23. The event is supported by the National AIDS Control Organisation (NACO) under the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare and hosted by the Government of Nagaland.
The press conference featured three key launches: the official logo of Red Run 3.0, the QR code for registration in the Open (General) Category, and the official jersey for Open Category runners. Red Run 3.0 is a flagship initiative aimed at raising awareness about HIV and sexually transmitted infections (STIs), promoting healthy lifestyles, and engaging youth and communities in collective action for health and well-being.
The event will comprise two main categories:
10 km National Competitive Run: Featuring state-level champions—two boys and two girls—from 35 States and Union Territories across India.
2 km Open (General) Category Run: Expected to draw around 700 participants from schools, colleges, youth organisations, churches, government departments, NGOs, and other community groups.
Online registration for the Open Category is limited to 200 participants on a first-come, first-served basis. Interested individuals can register by scanning the official QR code and completing the online form. Registration will close automatically once the limit is reached.
Dr. Sekhose encouraged the public to participate in the run and contribute to building a healthier, stigma-free future.
For registration assistance, participants may contact at 96128 57713.
