Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) in association with NSS Unit of Pranabananda Women’s College, Dimapur, organized a national seminar on various schemes.
DCO (PMEGP) KVIC, Dimapur, Sani Pongen, delved into KVIC’s various schemes and programs. He stressed the importance of Atmanirbhar Bharat and being “vocal for local”, highlighting the vast opportunities in Khadi-based businesses.
Assistant director of KVIC Dimapur, YK Shohe, presented the keynote address. It was followed by a presentation on the MSME program by Assistant Director (MSME-DFO Dimapur), Selwin Samraj, where he detailed the UDYAM registration process, benefits, and KVIC’s initiatives in supporting small businesses. On the occasion, essay and debate competition were organised for the students.
Sujata Dev (B.Com 1st Semester) won the debate competition followed by Keyiteisile Hemang (B.A 3rd Semester), and Rishita Das (B.A 1st Semester). The essay competition was won by Sonia Dey (B.A 5th Semester), followed by Priyanka Dey (B.A 3rd Semester) and Themhai (B.A 5th Semester).
