National youth week festival-cum- declamation contest under the theme, “My Bharat; Viksit Bharat @2047: Voice of the youth”, organised by Young Imperial Club and funded by NYKA Wokha was held at WDVCCA conference Hall, Wokha on Friday. The event was graced by senior SDEO, (district education officer in-charge), Wokha, N Renchano Kithan.
In the declamation contest, Chiben G Enny claimed the first position, Chonben Kikon and Nzani Yanthan secured the second and third positions. Chiben G Enny will represent the district at the state level. Addressing the gathering, the special guest underscored the program’s primary objective – to ensure that no deserving beneficiaries were overlooked.
The special guest reminded the participants that the contest provides a platform for youth from all societal sections to share their ideas and express visions for “My Bharat; Viksit Bharat @2047.”
Participants were judged based on criteria including originality of content, authentic references, analysis of the current situation, creative suggestions, new ideas, communication skills, presentation, clarity of ideas and thoughts, and confidence. The panel of judges for the declamation contest included, assistant professor Mount Tiyi College Thungjano Ovung and journalist Meribeni T Kikon. Earlier, Prime Minister’s live speech on Viksit Bharat @2047 was telecasted at the programme.
The programme was chaired by United Sporting Club, president, Zuchumo Murry, invocation by Azano Ngullie, welcome address by Chumreni B Lotha, NYKS volunteer, cultural presentation by United Sporting Club and benediction by Grace Yanthan.
