NAWO to protest against rape, murder attempt

DIMAPUR, JUL 30 (NPN)

Northern Angami Women Organisation (NAWO) has announced its decision to hold peaceful protest against the alleged rape and murder attempt on a mother of four children by one Khrietuolie Kense (19), of Tsiemekhuma Basa village, Botsa. In a press release, NAWO informed that the protest rally would be held Razhü Point, Kohima on August 2, 2025 at 10am and later submit a memorandum to the district administration Kohima.
NAWO said “grave and inhumane act” of the accused was a challenge to all women rights and security. The women body said that “his pathetic looks, deceptive appearance, underneath monstrous and devilish kind is not fit to exist in a civilised society,” adding he deserved severest punishment. NAWO has demanded that the accused be prosecuted and punished under the appropriate provisions of the law. The organisation has called upon all concerned citizens to join the rally.
