NBA to skip court proceedings on Sep 25

DIMAPUR, SEP 22 (NPN): Nagaland Bar Association (NBA) has resolved to disengage from all court proceedings on September 25, 2026 in protest against what it termed the state government’s continued inaction on its demand for the resignation of the incumbent Advocate General.
In a press release, NBA joint secretary Akum Pongen informed that the move was a further expression of its protest over the government’s failure to secure the Advocate General’s resignation.
NBA said all members of the Bar in the district courts would remain present in their respective courts on September 25 but would not wear coats and bands.
It further resolved to take additional action thereafter, “as the circumstances may so require.”
