NBC holds meeting; adopts resolutions

Notun Bosti Council (NBC) Dimapur in its meeting held on February 10 adopted resolution on account of the general election.
According to a press note by NBC Dimapur chairman, E. Jon Ezung and secretary, Kavito Ayemi NBC unanimously resolved to “maintain peaceful atmosphere within its jurisdiction during election”. The council welcomed “any intending candidate willing to express its party manifesto” and resolved to “allow only the genuine voters to cast vote”.
NBC also resolved not to allow “outsiders or bogus voters to cast votes” and “ban organising youth camp within its jurisdiction”. It also resolved to take “stern against any person creating unnecessary disturbance within the colony under the influence of alcohol”.
Further, NBC resolved to “give voting privilege or preference to senior citizens and person with disability (PWD)”. In this regard, the council has directed all Khel chairmen and GBs to convey meeting resolutions to their respective Khel public or members before the general election.
