NBCC team visits villages in Tsg

Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) team comprising of Rev. Dr. L. Anjo Keikung, NBCC general secretary; Niketu Iralu, chairman of Peace Committee; Vikuo Rhi, youth secretary; Haiwalo Apon, executive secretary, CRBC; and Huzo Meru along with other 14 members representing Phom Baptist Christian Association, United Sangtam Baptist Association and Khiamniungan Baptist Churches’ Association led by their respective executive secretaries visited Shamator, Chendang Saddle village, Kutur village, Tuensang district headquarters and Tuensang village in connection to the prevailing situation. 
The joint team also met with the respective leaders and civil organizations including tribal councils, women and youth organizations, church bodies and citizens.
In a press release, NBCC team appealed to both the parties to uphold peaceful means and promote peaceful atmosphere by restraining from any form of confrontation and to strive towards amicable solution.  NBCC also called upon the Christian populace in the State to extend fervent prayers for an early and durable solution to the current imbroglio.
