NBCC Women Department hosts diversity conference

DIMAPUR

Nagaland Baptist Church Council (NBCC) Women Department organized the “Imagine the Future Conference” under the theme “Beauty in Diversity: Inspire to Shape Future” at Platinum Hall, NBCC office, Kohima on September 10.
The one-day event brought together around 90 participants, including association women secretaries, church leaders, and tribal women apex bodies from across the state, in a spirit of unity and shared purpose.
Katoli V. Sumi, women secretary, NBCC, delivered the welcome address and introduced the theme.
Keynote speaker Sano Vamuzo, in her address titled “All by His Grace,” emphasized that diversity is a divine design and a gift. She encouraged participants to recognize their individual talents as tools to fulfill God’s purpose and to engage society through love and faith.
NBCC general secretary, Rev. Dr. Mar Pongener, delivered the second keynote, stating that diversity enriches families, churches, and communities. He urged leaders to embrace diversity as a strength and to foster respect and harmony.
The conference featured multimedia presentations including: “The Legend of Tabuanliu Gangmei” by RBCAN; “Much Effort, Much Prosperity” by Miss Pelenino Chase; “The Anishe Flower: A Legendary Tale” by SBAK (Nito Mount) and Ministry presentations by Miqlat and LifeConnect.
P. Angbhenla Phom, chairperson of the Women Board, NBCC, delivered the closing remarks. The event concluded with group fellowship based on the theme of Fellowship, Friendship, and Love (FFL), reinforcing the commitment to shape a vibrant and inclusive future.
