NBHM beekeeping training programmes

 Nagaland Beekeeping and Honey Mission (NBHM) conducted a series of beekeeping training programmes for beekeepers in different locations across the state starting the month of February 2019. 

A press release from NBHM, Sovima, media cell stated that the trainings were held under the RKVY scheme, under the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperation, GoI. The trainees involved existing beekeepers and agricultural and horticultural farmers from the villages.  The villages that were trained included, Yachem village (Longleng district), Yachang A village (Mokokchung district), Mon village (Mon district), Sirhi Angami village (Dimapur district), Shiponger village (Tuensang district), Ghatashi village (Zunheboto district),  Sutsu village  (Phek district) Tutheze village (Kiphire district), Longsa village (Wokha district) and Nchangram village (Peren district). Training under Peducha village (Kohima district) is slated to be held by last week of February 2019. Around 275 beekeepers and farmers were covered under these training programs. 
NBHM also distributed bee boxes and tool kits to the beneficiaries after the training sessions.
