NBSE allows schools to admit latecomers

With the closure of schools and some students facing difficulties in enrolling within specified time, Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) has informed that schools were allowed to admit late comers or anyone affected by the pandemic to resume their schooling.

NBSE has informed that the schools after providing admission to such category of students should furnish the details of the student’s particulars and class to the board.

Schools have also been requested to provide the information on the dropout students class-wise during the pandemic on or before July 7 at nbsenag@gmail.com.

All registered schools are expected to take care of the educational needs of the students by adopting all possible options- online/offline so that children are not deprived of continuing their education.

NBSE said that as the students were now learning online, parents had a great role to play and schools should connect with parents/guardians to see that their wards were attentive.

It said that parents should constantly monitor and keep track on assignments given by teachers and to actively participate in their child’s daily online learning as well as see that students do not resort to unfair means during online classes and in the conduct of examination.

Further, it urged students to be advised to eat a healthy diet in order to build up a strong immune system and should also engage in physical activities to keep themselves fit and healthy.
