Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE), Kohima held a meeting with newly appointed heads of secondary and higher secondary institutions on March 7 at the conference hall of NBSE, Kohima.
The participants were first briefed about the different activities/programmes of the Board by the officials. Sr. academic officer, Iluheing Nsarangbe dwelt on the academic matters related to the board and the important role of the schools in incorporating the co-curricular activities in the school plan.
Coordinator (IT), Kekhrielhoutuo Nakhro, highlighted on the features on board’s website and emphasised on the use of net facilities and encouraged the schools to have its own email Id for easy communication.
He also demonstrated on the use of the new software developed for online submission of forms.
Deputy secretary (Accounts), Ekyimo Shitiri dwelt on the accounts and financial matters relating to the school. He emphasised on prompt response from the schools and encouraged them to go for cashless transactions.
Controller of Examinations, Rangumbuing Nsarangbe, dwelt on the examination reforms adopted by the board and proper conduct of examinations. He also reminded the participants that as the head, one should be a role model, an agent of change and reminded them of the trust placed on them.
Earlier, the meeting began with prayer by principal Emmanuel Higher Secondary School, Zunheboto, Vihuto Sümi. The programme was chaired by Rangumbuing Nsarangbe and attended by heads of institutions representing 82 schools.
