NBSE informsHr. Sec. Schools

Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) has reminded higher secondary schools that the University Grants Commission (UGC) has brought changes regarding admission to BA (Economics) under Choice Based Credit System.
In a notification, NBSE chairman Asano Sekhose informed that under this new policy, students intending to go for BA Economics needed to have Mathematics as one of the subjects at higher secondary level. NBSE said that this policy would be adopted by Nagaland University as well as other Universities across the country.
Therefore, NBSE has requested all heads of higher secondary schools offering economics as elective subject to take note of the changes and take necessary actions so that students desiring to study BA Economics honours in future were not deprived of the opportunity.
Further, heads of institutions have been requested to disseminate the information and sensitise the students during the time of admission to help students choose the correct subject combination at an early stage.
