NCA conducts four-day umpire course in Sovima

DIMAPUR, SEP, 10 (NPN): The Nagaland Cricket Association (NCA) conducted a four-day Umpire Course from September 7 to 10 at the Nagaland Cricket Academy, Sovima, with the objective of strengthening and developing the officiating ecosystem in the state.
A total of 25 candidates from various districts across Nagaland participated in the course, bringing together aspiring and developing match officials from across the state.
The course was conducted by Jayapal P., a BCCI-qualified umpire, who provided participants with professional guidance on the technical and practical aspects of cricket umpiring.
The four-day programme covered the Laws of Cricket, umpiring procedures, decision-making, match situations and the roles and responsibilities of match officials. It also provided participants with exposure to professional standards of officiating.
The NCA continues to emphasise capacity building and the development of cricket infrastructure and human resources in the state.
