DIMAPUR, SEP, 26 (NPN): The 7th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Nagaland Cricket Association (NCA) was held on September 26 at the NCA Conference Room, Dimapur.
The meeting was chaired by NCA president Watinuksung Jamir, who welcomed the delegates and expressed appreciation for their continued contribution towards the development of cricket in Nagaland.
The proceedings began with an invocation by President Mokokchung District Cricket Association, Imlikumzuk.
During the meeting, the Secretary’s Report and Treasurer’s Report for the financial year 2025-26 were presented before the House and duly adopted. Motions received from various District Cricket Associations were also tabled for consideration and deliberation.
The House discussed matters concerning the development and promotion of cricket across the State, with emphasis on strengthening district-level activities, creating greater opportunities for players and stakeholders, and ensuring sustained growth of the sport.
A special felicitation was accorded to NCA president Watinuksung Jamir in recognition of his appointment as Team Manager of the Indian Cricket Team for its Test series tour of Sri Lanka in 2026.
Members of the Association congratulated him and expressed their appreciation for the prestigious responsibility.
The meeting reaffirmed the Association’s commitment to working closely with District Cricket Associations and other stakeholders to strengthen the cricketing structure in Nagaland and create greater opportunities for players at all levels.
The AGM concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by NCA vice president Khamongo Humtsoe.
