Nagaland Cricket Association (NCA) joint secretary & in-charge of Wokha and Mokokchung, Watinungsang Jamir visited Wokha on March 20 to oversee the infrastructure development initiated by Nagaland Cricket Association (NCA) for promoting the game of cricket under Wokha district.
A press release by Wokha District Cricket Association (WDCA) president Chenithung Humtsoe, stated that during Watinungsang Jamir inspected the cricket practice pitch located at Local ground Wokha and interacted with WDCA officials and took note of the grievances and future development activities to be undertaken for the promotion of cricket in the district.
Jamir further encouraged the WDCA officials to put more efforts to promote/produce women cricket team as the district has the potential to produce women cricketers. He also acknowledged the efforts by the current Wokha District Cricket Association officials for undertaking various kind of activities to encourage youngsters in the field of cricket. Jamir also assured fullest co-operation and support towards the promotion of cricket in the district on behalf of NCA.
