A Ten-day annual training camp of 1 Nagaland (G) Bn NCC under the aegis of NCC Group HQ, Kohima commenced on November 8 at St Joseph College, Jakhama.
A press release by the battalion reported that 300 (approximate) NCC girl cadets from various institutes located in all districts of Nagaland along with ANOs and PI staff of the unit are attending the camp which will culminate on November 17.
During the camp, the main emphasis will be on developing qualities of character, comradeship, discipline, secular outlook, spirit of adventure, sportsmanship, and ideals of selfless service, thus contributing to all round development of cadet personalities.
The cadets will not only be trained in weapon handling, drill and military subjects but also trained in national integration and other nation building and social service activities like Swatch Bharat Abhiyan.
